Occupational Therapists work with children experiencing developmental delays and children with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, behavioral concerns, anxiety, and Autism. Our Occupational Therapists create a comprehensive, personalized plan for each individual and family that meets each child at their developmental and emotional level, builds relationships, and builds skills to help kids increase their success, happiness, and reach their full potential. Occupational Therapy can help with: behavior problems, anxiety, attention and focus, sensory processing disorder, social skills, cognitive skills, fine motor coordination and handwriting, whole body coordination, and self care (feeding, dressing, toileting).
Our experienced therapists use play based interventions with therapeutic movement, reflex integration, sensory activities, functional fine and visual motor tasks, behavioral and self regulation strategies, and functional self care. At GTS, we know you cannot separate emotional development from the physical development of the body. We support your child's emotional needs throughout the therapeutic process.
We will provide a comprehensive evaluation, customized treatment plans, home programs for carryover of therapy techniques, recommendations for home and school when appropriate, one on one treatment, and continual support and guidance for family members and caregivers.
